INDIVIDUAL NURSERY AND PRE-K
PROGRAMS |
Creative
Kids’ nursery program is designed for children ages 2.9
to 5 years old. The Pre-K program has been developed for
children who miss the August 1st cutoff date for
kindergarten eligibility or the oldest in the groups
enrolled at the time. The programs operate during the
school year, and basically follow the Westfield public
school calendar. The children enrolled in the programs
attend either the morning or afternoon sessions. The
three day classes meet Monday, Wednesday, or Friday; the
two day classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday. Each class
meets for 3 hours.

OUR GOALS: |
| The goal of
the program is to create a warm, accepting and
stimulating environment that promotes the growth of the
child as both an individual and a member of a group. The
program is designed is to develop competence of
language, self-expression, and self-direction, along
with fine and gross motor skills, perceptual skills and
artistic and creative talents. Also included in the
curriculum are experiences with pre-reading, science,
math and social studies. Emphasized throughout all
activities is the development of self-esteem and concern
and respect for the property and feelings of others. |
